Intro Inline

Double your pleasure. Double your fun!

I found this font on Pinterest when looking for some inspiration to use for an upcoming taphandle graphic. Looks like something that would be on a can, and somewhat reminiscent of NODA’s Hop Drop ‘N Roll label. I may not ever use Intro Inline for a craft beer label myself, but I like the clean lines and especially the capital “I’s” (although I see the bottoms are slightly longer than the tops). Kind of like two fonts in one—hence the beer of choice—Double IPA.

What the heck is a Double IPA?

Double IPA’s—also called “Imperial” IPA’s—are typically American style India Pale Ales that are loaded down with hops. Craft brewers will use double (or even triple) the normal amount of hops, but also add more malts to balance the beer. The end product is a hop bomb with a depth of malts to match. Double IPA’s have a higher Alcohol by Volume (ABV) than “single” IPA’s, but not necessarily twice as much. As I have come to learn, the higher ABV actually comes from the addition of the malts it takes to balance out the strong hops.
